YO KNITWEAR

2006 - 2011

It’s all started in a coffee place around the corner where I lived. I was studying at that moment and all the free time I had I spent knitting. I was doing that in a coffee place nearby, just to have a good coffee while knitting a scarf or beanie. But customers started to notice what I was doing and asked: “Can I order one from you?”

From that point on I developed my own brand Y KNIT. I organised workshops, displayed my collection at an Amsterdam based PR agency, published in different media and designed my own collection. Scarfs, beanies, gloves, beanbags, bath maths and laptop covers.

Today I’m still fascinated by the process of making wool. So many steps there are. And such a rich craftsmanship is behind just 1 ball of wool.
